The Arts

One of seven thematic galleries in “Women Take the Floor”—our takeover of Level 3 of the Art of the Americas Wing—“Women Publish Women: The Print Boom” celebrates three entrepreneurs who founded influential printmaking workshops in the late 1950s and early ’60s. Tatyana Grosman, June Wayne, and Kathan Brown played a formative role in what came to be called the American Print Boom, and their presses helped shape the course of contemporary printmaking. Join Patrick Murphy, Lia and William Poorvu Assistant Curator of Prints and Drawings, to learn more about these pioneering publishers and the printmakers they fostered.
