The Arts

Drop in to see master printer Carolyn Muskat create and demonstrate intaglio prints and lithographs, and try your hand at printmaking with drypoint and pronto plate techniques. Afterwards, when you visit “Women Publish Women: The Print Boom,” Gallery 335 in “Women Take the Floor,” you’ll have greater insight into the pioneering workshops founded by women in the 1950s and ’60s that revitalized American printmaking.

Carolyn Muskat is the master printer and owner of Muskat Studios, a printmaking studio and gallery in Somerville, Massachusetts, celebrating its 25th year. Her work has been featured in exhibitions across the country and internationally, including her recent solo exhibition, “Here and Now: Prints by Carolyn Muskat,” at the Irving Arts Center in Irving, Texas. She received the 2019 Award for Excellence in Teaching Printmaking at the Southern Graphics Council International conference and is an adjunct faculty member at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and Lesley University.
