Ford Hall Forum at Suffolk University, WGBH Forum Network and the Justice Reform Coalition present:

A public forum on justice reform with Massachusetts Democratic candidates for U.S. Senate. U.S. Senator Edward Markey and Congressman Joe Kennedy III will participate in back-to-back sessions and will answer questions from formerly incarcerated individuals as well as the public. The evening’s moderator is nationally recognized activist Andrea James, founder of Families for Justice as Healing.

Tuesday, August 4, 2020 Live 7:00-9:00 pm

THIS EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The virtual forum comes at a time when the nation is focused on criminal justice laws and how the tough-on-crime stances of the 1980s and 1990s caused harm to families, created economic disruption in communities and reshaped society. Journalists are invited to cover the forum as candidates reveal how they would address these issues in the Senate. A key goal of the forum is to help the public better understand critical issues around justice reform and where the Democratic Senate candidates stand on those issues.
