Join us for a fiber arts exhibition, 2d showing, and silent auction Friday, January 15, 2016 in honor of late fiber artist Theresa-India Young, whose goal was to preserve the art, history, and diverse culture of weaving. Proceeds benefit the Theresa-India Young Ethnic Weaving Scholarship at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. This year we honor soft sculpture artist Barbara Ward Armstrong (1940-2013).

Participating artists include Stephanie Angelo, Edie Bowers, Arlette Doherty, Eleanor Elkin, Ellen Granter, Arleen Greenspan, Selena Narovlansky, Kaira Nazyat, Jeffrey Nowlin, Rachel Oswald, Sarah Peloquin, Alicia Quimby, Etta Rosen, Kate Sullivan, Dayna Talbot, Matt Theodhos, Susan Thompson, Sarah Trahan, Dianne Zimbabwe, and 2015 Theresa-India Young Ethnic Weaving Scholarship recipient Sarah Peloquin.

The Harriet Tubman Gallery showcases a range of diverse cultural and community driven works that foster a strong sense of neighborhood appreciation. Free and open to the public, stop by and visit us at 566 Columbus Ave in Boston’s South End.
