Explore object conservation through examples of Renaissance glazed ceramics, specifically objects that will be in the Della Robbia exhibit that will open in August 2016, and the scope and nature of the conservation departments at the MFA. This Gallery Talk in the Renaissance gallery will include looking at one of the Conservation in Action spaces. See didactics, including UV photographs, x-ray images, annotated photographs, and photomicrographs to demonstrate analytic and documentation technologies and methods. Join in a dialogue about conservation ethics and decision making. To participate, meet in the Jean S. and Frederic A. Sharf Visitor Center.
