The Arts

Explore a sampling of the rich dance traditions of Greece. Dressed in elaborate regional attire, the troupe will share their dances, and Irene Savas, President of the Boston Lykeion Ellinidon, will elaborate on the colorful history of Hellenic folk culture. Bring your questions and join in and try a few dance steps.

The Boston Lykeion Ellinidon Dance Troupe is an adult Greek folk dance troupe that performs at ethnic festivals, multi-cultural events and private functions and also appears in stage productions with musical ensembles from Greece. Dance Director Michael Savas has 25 years experience in Greek dance. The troupe regularly participates in dance seminars in the United States and internationally, hosted by folk dance instructors and performers.

This is an ongoing program. Come anytime and stay for as long as you’d like.
