Join Adam Strom, Director of Re-Imagining Migration, for a gallery talk and facilitated discussion about Candice Breitz’s video installation Love Story. Breitz’s timely exhibition juxtaposes first-person stories about the global refugee crisis as told by displaced persons with selections from their narratives as performed by the Hollywood stars Alex Baldwin and Julianne Moore. At Re-Imagining Migration, Strom works to educate young people to understand migration as a fundamental characteristic of the human condition, in order to develop the knowledge, empathy, and mindsets that sustain inclusive and welcoming communities. Spend time watching these absorbing video pieces and then discussing the messages that are relevant on a national, local, and personal level.
