Filmmaker and journalist Sebastian Junger (author of The Perfect Storm) will premiere a new HBO documentary on the life and career of photojournalist Tim Hetherington, who died in 2011 covering the conflict in Libya. Renee Loth, former editor of the Editorial Page for The Boston Globe will moderate the discussion following the screening. A public reception begins at 6:30 p.m., and the screening and discussion begin at 7:30 p.m.
Sebastian Junger will be presented the "Howard Zinn Award", presented by PEN New England for his efforts in reporting from the front lines. Tim Hetherington will be posthumously honored for extraordinary courage and dedication.
